Barky 1-10µl (PS-10) and Barky ST5 Stand
These are a range of air displacement pipetters (known as Barky Pencil Slim µltipettes™) with a complete metal construction. Therefore, wear and tear is reduced and the accuracy of your device is maintained. Each volume within the Barky variable volume micro range is pre-set. This is achieved by Fixed Calibration® where each volume setting is machined onto a stainless steel adjuster by means of a slot for each volume. Therefore, each volume keeps it's accuracy for the life time of your device. It's like having ten single volume devices in one variable volume device. All the moving parts are manufactured from stainless steel resulting in a long service life. Barky µltipette™ micro range cover from 0.5-250ml is variable as well as single volume pipetters. On top of all that, there is no need for re-calibration for the life of the Barky µltipettes™. This means your down time is reduced due to elimination of the need for re-calibration which saves you - time and money.
A unique feature where the complete unit can be auto-claved without having to be dismantled. Other pipetters, which are often made from various kinds of plastic, can only be auto-claved in part and not as a complete unit. Just imagine not having to put back all those little parts back together when you have auto-calved a Barky Pencil Slim µltipette™!
A formed finger rest allows easy handling and prevents overall hand strain when pipetteing over long periods. The main body is just about 7.mm in diameter and overall length of 185.mm (PS range). This enables the user of a Barky micro pipetter µltipette™ to access narrow and difficult spaces easily.
High standards of manufacture and assembly ensure you have a device that is reliable and long lasting. That means one less thing for you to think about when planning your work. Each Barky micro pipetter carryies a FIVE-YEAR WARRANTY against manufacturing faults. Each device also has a serial number which makes it traceable back to the day it was assembled. In fact we have Barky micro µltipettes™ which are thirty years old and still working after thirty years of service!
The PL range of Barky micro µltipettes™ enables the user to use other tips as well as our own Barky capillary tips. Such a feature increases the type of procedures you can carry out in the lab.
For safety and convenience a streamlined tip ejector can be fitted (optional extra) which eliminates accidental de-tipping.
Some laboratory procedures require a longer reach to achieve the results you require, as well as the option to have a tip ejector fitted. Barky Instruments can provide a number of options. Simply inform us the reach you require for your Barky µltipette™ micro pipetter to suit your work. Or you may need to use a special tip in your work with our Barky µltipette™ micro pipetter (PL range). We can modify any device with in the range to take your choice of tip.
Barky µltipette™ Capillary Tips are a range of unique capillary tips manufactured by Barky Instruments dedicated to our own micro pipetter µltipettes™. The advantage of these capillary tips is the size. The main body diameter is about 2.6.mm and a dispensing nozzle diameter of less than 1.mm (CP-5 to CP-25). This makes reaching narrow and difficult spaces easy. However, to help you more, these capillary tips are flexible and can be bent into an angle to suit your work without blocking the tip. They also come in sterilized form.
Our Barky µltipette™ micro pipetters cover from 0.5 to 250ml in single and variable volume devices. However, if you cannot find the volume you need in our single volume Barky µltipette™ range, let us know the volume you require and leave it with us to make you a device to suit your work.

Please note, for more accurate results especially in smaller volumes, we recommend Barky Brand of capillary tips to be used. These are designed for use with Barky µltipette™ micro pipetters and have one of the narrowest capillaries available on the market.
If you cannot find the pipetter you require from our FX and FXL range of single volume ultipettes, it is possible to make your required pipetter by special order to suit your work. It is also possible to make a Barky µltipette™ that is able to use other brands of tips apart from the tips listed above.
